Lost in translation: Do you have a foreign language fail?

Everyone assumes when they visit a foreign country that there will be some language barriers, but sometimes things really do get lost in translation.

To celebrate our love of travel and the language barriers that Brits face when in different countries, we’re on the lookout for some of the funniest translation fails that Brits have spotted when abroad.

If you’ve got a photo of a translation fail, we need YOU to enter and share it with the world.  The best entry will win £250 in a currency of their choice and runners up will have a chance to be featured in our top 10 round-up sent out to the UK media.

To be in with the chance, submit your photograph and the story behind it, including when and where it was taken, in the form below.

Entry details:

  • Upload or send a clear photo of your translation fail
  • Give your photo a caption which explains the story around the translation fail and where you took the picture
  • Enter your full name, hometown/city and email address so that we can contact you if you’re a winner
  • The overall winner will be selected by the ICE team

Good luck!
