Kim and Kanye to boost Ireland tourism
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West are reported to have jetted off to Ireland for a secret honeymoon after their lavish wedding in Italy.
Tourism chiefs will be hoping the celebrity couple’s presence will lead to a rise in visitors to Ireland who will spend their holiday money in the country and deliver a welcome boost.
Tourism Ireland marketing director Mark Henry said his team is hard at work to produce a guide of tourist attractions so that fans of the couple could retrace their footsteps on their own dream Irish holiday.
The tourism organisation will be mindful that by connecting even with just a small portion of the couple’s millions of followers could translate into a lucrative surge both in visitor and cash terms.
A private jet was spotted landing at Cork Airport yesterday afternoon before a couple were taken from the runway in limousines.
It is reported newlyweds Kim, 33, and Kanye, 36 – known by showbiz fans as Kimye – will spend a day in Dublin, although their usually prolific social media pronouncements have been mysteriously quiet on the subject of their plans.
Last weekend they were joined by several hundred guests for their wedding at the spectacular 16th-century Fort Belvedere in Florence.
