ICE Scoops 3 Awards at the Paybefore Awards Europe for the ICE Travellers Cashcard
ICE – International Currency Exchange, the global foreign exchange and prepaid currency card provider, has won three awards at the Paybefore Awards Europe.
The ICE Travellers Cashcard was selected by a panel of industry experts at the third annual ceremony where ICE picked up the Best Travel Companion, Consumer Champion and Prepaid with Soul awards.
The awards were created to honour excellence and innovation in the prepaid, mobile emerging payments industry in the U.K. and Europe. Entries across 10 categories represented programmes from countries including the U.K., Turkey, Austria, France, Germany, Portugal, Poland, Hungary and Italy.
Tom Johnson, Head of Online Business at ICE, said “Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, but being voted by peers to win these three awards is hugely gratifying, as is the fact that we have beaten off some stiff European competition to achieve these accolades. We are extremely proud of our multi award winning ICE Travellers Cashcard products and delighted with this public acknowledgement of the product and the benefits we are providing customers.”
The ICE Travellers Cashcard comes with the promise of no hidden fees and no nasty surprises, supported by a free back up card, same rate buy-back, and 1.5% cashback on point of sale purchases over €50/$50/£50 (depending on your choice of currency), plus much more.
“Paybefore Awards Europe shine a spotlight on the innovators using payments to solve complex problems for a variety of constituents,” said Loraine DeBonis, Paybefore editor-in-chief and chair of the judging panel. “Companies like ICE are pushing the boundaries of what is possible in payments,” she continued. “We are proud to recognise its contributions to advancing the prepaid and emerging payments industry.”
“It’s an exciting time in payments everywhere in the world, but this year’s Paybefore Awards Europe winners demonstrate how quickly prepaid and mobile solutions are replacing the legacy of paper-based systems,” added Marilyn Bochicchio, Paybefore’s CEO. “Paybefore Awards is proud to recognise the organisations that are taking on paper in its many forms – not just cash – to improve business, government and consumers’ lives.”
