Brits value Wi-Fi access on holiday
Wi-Fi access is one of the most important requirements for Britons on their holidays, according to new research.
A survey by online retailer Pixmania shows just how important staying connected with what’s going on at home has become, even if it means missing out on a couple of hours spent lounging by the pool or relaxing on the beach.
One in three Brits (31%) now rank access to Wi-Fi as the most desired ‘comfort’ while on a break abroad – putting it second on the list of holiday comforts, behind a room with a nice view (43%) in top spot.
Holidaymakers are even willing to spend holiday money on Wi-Fi at their hotel or resort in order to stay in touch with loved ones on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter via smartphones and tablets.
A clean hotel was third on the list of holiday comforts, followed by a good mattress and a great hotel restaurant.
