Brits reveal top holiday road trip

According to a Mini poll, Brits reveal their ideal holiday road trip would be to picture themselves driving on the legendary Route 66 listening to Queen whilst sat next to Holly Willoughby.

The route across the US from Chicago to California was voted the top journey, followed by the Amalfi Coast in Italy.

Brits just love to sing in their cars and the top 10 list of songs to drive to is dominated by tunes from the Seventies and Eighties. The Queen classics Don’t Stop Me Know and Bohemian Rhapsody were named the first and second most popular driving songs, ahead of tracks by Abba, Meatloaf and Journey.

With the route and the tunes sorted, the poll participants considered their dream driving companion, with ITV presenter Holly Willoughby edging out the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, former England captain David Beckham and James Bond heartthrob Daniel Craig.

The respondents were also asked who they would definitely not like to share a journey with and the dubious honour goes to the outspoken former Apprentice candidate Katie Hopkins.
